Awesome!!! Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size, great location. Love the patio. It was my favourite part of my trip. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the patio and watch the town wake up and come alive. The restaurant below is s good dot to eat on the patio as well. Hard to get a booking here, but if I get the opportunity to stay again in Jasper I hope it’s here. Side note, there are like what felt like 30 steps to go up to get to the rooms and no elevator. I had no issues, but keep that in mind.
Great location at the edge of the Jasper commercial district, very close to multiple restaurants and a bakery. Owner was very helpful, directing us to activities that were good for cloudy/rainy days vs. sunny days. As far as we could tell, there don't seem to be many hotels in Jasper that are super-modern, new, etc. Same goes for this hotel. But the place is well kept, the rooms are clean, the beds and furniture are perfectly fine, and there are new televisions in the bedrooms. We were quite comfortable here for two nights and would happily stay here again.
The Filia Inn was an unexpected delight. We usually stay in well-known "chain" type motels with large suburban parking lots, so this was a change for us! The room was great, very clean and comfortable. Parking was adequate and the downtown location made walking to restaurants and shops very easy. Be aware that there is no elevator. The manager, Matthew, was very helpful with a few details that were promptly addressed. Great stay!
Fantastic stay. The guy who was working didn’t stop. Not sure if it was the manager or owner but what a nice guy. Very attentive and helpful. Will def be back.
If I could rate this place four and a half stars, I would. Note that the address is 6 Pyramid Lake Road, not 401 Patricia St (though Patricia St is very nearby). Though this isn't a fancy hotel with all the amenities, it is a lovely place to stay with clean, spacious rooms and a friendly innkeeper, at a decent price. I'd definitely stay again, though it doesn't quite go the "above and beyond" that would merit a five-star rating. The Olive restaurant downstairs was also very good, though again falling a bit short of exceptional. Gluten-free choices were clearly marked.
I had booked Filia Inn for July 28-30 trip. Unfortunately, wildfires were so severe that caused Jasper townsite to be evacuated a couple of days right before my trip. I was sad but nothing could do except canceling the booking. Wondering if I could have the refund for it was over the cancellation period. The hotel owner’s replied was unexpectedly fast as well as the money returned to my bank account. Their service was so good and I definitely will book again this hotel on my upcoming Jasper trip.
We stayed here on the 18th of June and it was great. Matt was so helpful and gave us many ideas of things to do in the area. The location is fantastic and we walked all around Jasper easily. The room was clean and very comfortable. If you are looking for fancy you will not like this location. If you are looking for clean and friendly you will be very comfortable here. We also used the upper deck to relax and enjoy the views before going out for dinner.
